Almost Back!

Atricilla Images is back, almost at least! The site is still very much a work in progress, however the Wildlife Galleries and Blog are up and running. There is lots more to come as and when time allows........

17th August 2008 - Successful Seawatch!

After failing to see any Mediterranean Gulls at Flimby I met up with the Craigster. We made a first stop to Soddy Gap where we saw six Mediterranean Gulls shortly before they were flushed by a Peregrine!

10th August 2008 - Black Stork in Northumberland

Lachlan and yours truly met up with the Craigster for some seawatching off Workington. It was looking pretty good with a few Storm Petrels passing and a few Manx Shearwaters (the latter being a new one from Lachlan). However the day was about to change, for the better......possibly!Read more

June 4th 2008 - Two ticks in two days, surely not...................

I was still buzzing from yesterdays trip to see the Lesser Grey Shrike (my first tick since the White-crowned Sparrow back in February)when I read the message on my pager 'Male Citrine Wagtail at Caerlaverock'. I swore loudly and re-read the message, it said the same! This was unbelievable as this would be another new bird from and less than an hour (depending who's driving) up the road!Read more

June 3rd 2008 - Lesser Grey Shrike in Northumberland..........

May 26th 2008 - Almondell & Calderwood CP in West Lothian

There was a very showy Red-footed Falcon at Almondell & Calderwood Country Park in West Lothian, so I decided to take the Train and go and see it! I arrived onsite around lunchtime and was instantly rewarded with superb views of this stunning bird.Read more
